Who is Marcos Sotomayor?

He brings more than 15 years in software engineering, including over six in healthcare. At Health Recovery Solutions, a remote patient monitoring company, he rose from Technical Lead to VP of Software Engineering. There he led engineering for a platform that connected patients at home with their care teams through patient-facing apps and a clinician portal, work that demands reliability, security and workflows that respect a clinician's time.

Since joining Boost in 2025, Marcos has focused on the engineering behind Boost's practice intelligence and agentic AI: software that takes on the clerical work of an ABA practice so BCBAs, behavior technicians and operators can focus on clients. His technical background spans scalable back-end and API architecture, database design, cloud infrastructure and CI/CD.

At Boost, that foundation underpins his work on AI-powered systems, where he leads the effort to build the harnesses, evaluation loops and guardrails that make agentic systems dependable in production.

Marcos holds an MS in Computer Science from New York Institute of Technology and a BA in Economics from the University at Buffalo. He is based in New York.
