Who is Dean Shoultz?
Dean designed Boost around the way ABA practices actually work: intelligent scheduling that respects authorizations, workflow engines that validate data before a claim goes out, real-time clearinghouse connections that speed reimbursement, and HIPAA-compliant security throughout. That upstream validation is a big part of why Boost clients averaged a 99.4% clean claim rate in Q1 2026.
He brings more than 30 years of founding and building software companies. In 1991 he founded Advanced Software, the developer of the UA Business Software ERP and accounting system, where he has served as CTO and CEO. In 2007 he founded MarineCFO, now Ripple, building operations and compliance software for major U.S. tug, towboat and barge operators and some of the world's largest ferry systems. Bleecker Street Group acquired Ripple in 2023.
That background in heavily regulated industries, where every record has to stand up to scrutiny, carries directly into ABA billing and compliance. Dean also founded VerticaLive and UA Live 365 and served as CTO of OpsGen and UABusinessCloud. He is based in New Orleans.
From mission-critical UA systems trusted by Fortune 500 companies and world governments to three National Academies TRB/CMTS presentations, SNAME talks, an early Microsoft technology-adoption partnership and an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist nod, Dean has spent his career building technology that has to work.
